Feeling very blessed today for my healthy children. A 4 year old girl from Olivia's school drowned in a hot tub this past week. Her hair got caught in the drain while the family was vacationing in Cabo. I can't stop thinking about it...feeling so sad for this family. Makes me realize that all the little problems we may have are nothing.
I have been doing some home-care for a lady that is 104 years old, Gretchen. She is blind, partially deaf and can barely walk. She has been blind for 25 years, lived with her daughter for 21 years until her daughter died, now lives with granddaughter. She likes to do crossword puzzles, she is pretty good (well better than me sometimes) but she doesn't like tv, radio or books on tape. She has a railing from her bed to a little table by her bed to eat and railings to the bathroom, she elbows me if I try to help too much, tells me not to touch her.
I always thought I wanted to live to be 100, my grandma was 97 when she died, but I have decided I am definitely going to start smoking again when I am 80 to make sure I don't live past 100.

So sad - I loved hearing about the cute 104 year old - how did you get into doing that, you busy girl! Hope all is well in P.C.

You have to tell all the stories with this lady. They are too funny!
Lar I had no idea you were doing that. Alli is dead for not keeping me in the loop!! So sad about Livy's friend. I guess a law just passed here about that same thing. Pools with a certain kind of drain have to be replaced so that won't happen. Scary.
